About me

Hey there! Welcome to my little space on the www. Grab a chair, get settled in as I tell you a little bit about myself.
I'm a full-stack developer passionate about building things for the web. for 5+ years now. What started as a curiosity for how the web works? turned into the motivation to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and eventually a deep passion for crafting the best web experiences.
Until recently I worked as a frontend developer for a fintech company. The experience was transformative, as it was less about building pretty user interfaces and more about solving complex problems.

The tools I use

I enjoy building frontends, whether it's with React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, or Nuxt.js. Tailwind CSS' mobile first approach makes it my go-to for styling. I trust Pinia and Zustand for client state management and TanStack Query on the server side. I use vee-validate, Zod, and Yup for validation, and React Hook Form for complex forms. When it comes to component libraries, I rely heavily on Shadcn.
Laravel is at the forefront of everything I build, whether I'm building full-stack applications with Inertia.js or APIs, because it is stable, good for long-term projects, flexible to work with, and has an amazing community. I trust Herd for my PHP environments, Reverb for Web Sockets, Sanctum for authentication, Precognition for live validation, Nightwatch for monitoring, Pest or PHPUnit for test driven design and also leverage queues, notifications, and much more.
I've read a couple of articles and some books that taught me a lot about system design. I'm still trying to learn domain-driven development.
Beyond looking at a dimly lit screen writing code, I also lead a small team of frontend developers, product designers, digital marketers, and designers to shape the future of education on our continent. And events too!!!
My approach is holistic: I focus on the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to a polished, pixel-perfect UI. I’m always learning and always have a mindset of doing things well because what is worth doing is worth doing well.
